A grant aimed at funding projects that brings communities together, has opened.
Community Groups, third sector organisations or schools can apply for up to £3000 to support a community-based project.
The grant is for projects which look to challenge discrimination, promote inclusion, and provide opportunities for people who might not ordinarily come together to meet and celebrate where they live.
An example of a project that was supported last year was Willowtown Community Primary School. The funding supported the ‘Big Bocs Bwyd’ project to grow and flourish. In receiving funding, the school have impacted on families in more ways than one, by providing nutritious food to purchase, recipe cards and cookery workshops which also included a takeaway home bag of food so that families felt confident and comfortable in cooking the recipe at home.
The closing date for applications is Friday 19th July 2024 and projects must be delivered by 31st January 2025.
