As of 31 March the collection of LFD COVID-19 testing kits from pharmacies and community collection points will end.
Vaccination and the use of new treatments which can prevent serious illness, especially for people who are clinically vulnerable has removed the need for regular community testing.
Testing kits will be available to order for those that still remain ‘vulnerable’, people in the covid treatment group. This is a cohort of approximately 60k people with cancer, kidney or liver disease, down’s syndrome or who are immunosuppressed.
LFDs will be available via online ordering, or by calling the 119 NHS helpline to individuals in this group and their close contacts only. Individuals in the treatment group will be contacted to ensure they are aware of how to access tests.
Pharmacy and community collection points will remain available until 31 March but stocks are limited and we ask for your consideration when requesting supplies.
